eMule 0.49c Xtreme v7.2

Finalmente ci siamo; è stata appena rilasciata la Xtreme 7.2 basata sulla 0.49c. Oltre ai vari Update sono state effettuate delle correzioni e dei miglioramenti. Sembra che siano stati fatti grossi passi avanti per quanto riguarda la gestione della memoria.

Q: Where is my CONFIG(or other) directory?
A: See this URL below, and find the CONFIG directory in your PC.
How to find CONFIG directory
For the newbies, if you are the only user on your PC, I suggest you change the user dir mode to "Store config and downloads in the program directory".
In this case, the config directory will be stored in the same directory where eMule.exe is located.

Q: What the meanings of "CLEAN INSTALL"? When I should use "CLEAN INSTALL"?
A: In Xtreme, CLEAN INSTALL mean delete the perference.ini in the CONFIG directory. This action will not harm to your credits.
In other mods, "CLEAN INSTALL" may means delete all files in the CONFIG directory, except these: Adresses.dat, Category.ini, Clients.met, Cryptkey.dat, Emfriends.met, Ipfilter.dat, Ip2Country.dat, Known.met, Known2_64.met, Preference.dat, Server.met, Sharedir.dat, Statistics.ini.
When you change your mod or the major version of Xtreme changed(eg. from 7.X to 8.X), you'd better use CLEAN INSTALL to avoid some errors.

Q: What is perference.ini?
A: perference.ini is your config file located in your CONFIG directory. It stores the options, windows positions and adv. options. Userhash, certification(credits), category and statistics are not in it.

Q: Xtreme crash when I switch to search window or start a search. What should I do?
A: Delete StoredSearch.met in your CONFIG directory.

Q: How can I enable 24k send buffer?
A: Edit your Perference.ini in your CONFIG directory. Find a line Starts with "sendbuffersize=", (If not, add this line), edit the value.
All hidden option can be enable in similar method. For example, show country flag in KAD windows.

Q: How can I connect to KAD?
A: If you have connectted to server and/or another client, you just press "connect" button in KAD window, Xtreme will connect to KAD automaticly.
If you have not connectted, you can press bootstrap button in KAD window. Xtreme will open website with your browser. You can find nodes.dat in that website, add it into Xtreme.

Q: How can I enlarge file buffer size?
A: No, 2M file buffer is enough. If you insist to do so, edit this value via perference.ini.

Q: There are only a few server in server-list. What should I do?
A: Don't worry. There are only a few valid server in the world. Use KAD instead of server.

Q: I want to move some shared files to another directory. How can i prevent rehash those files?
A: If Xtreme runs, and dest. directory is a shared directory, move your files in windows explorer(or sth else), then refresh your shared files in shared files window.
If Xtreme runs, but dest. directory is not a shared directory, move your files in windows explorer(or sth else), then shared the dest. directory.
If Xtreme not runs, please ensure the option "remember unused AICH-Hashes" is enable, move your files in windows explorer(or sth else), then start Xtreme, shared the dest. directory.

Q: Does Xtreme can share thousands of shared files?
A: Sure, it can. But you must remember, the program is optimized for only hundreds of shared files. The GUI response is slower when shared thousands of files.
And you'd better not connect to server/kad while hashing thousands of files. Connect to server/kad when hashing is done.

Q: I am a newbie. I don't know what these options means? What can I do?
A: Don't worry. The default setting can work well in most situation. You can find some support in here and Xtreme-Mod.

Per quanto riguarda eventuali problemi d'instabilità del Client nella gestione degli Upload, se la vostra velocità di UP è superiore ai 500KB/s, è consigliato editare il Preferences.Ini nella maniera di seguito indicata:

If your upload speed greater than 500kb/s, and you found the upload speed is not stable enough. You can enable 24k send buffer via prefercence.ini by "sendbuffersize=24000". This option can let Xtreme work better.

Nell'utilizzazione del WebServer potrebbero verificarsi problemi di visualizzazione, correggibili utilizzando il File Template eMule.Tmpl sito nella stessa Directory del Client Ufficiale:

Correct eMule.tmpl located in CONFIG directory. Use correct templet can prevent some error in webinterface.

Per quanto, invece, riguarda il calcolo dell'Overhead, come ormai gli utilizzatori di questa Mod. sono abituati a constatare quotidianamente, la Xtreme effettua un calcolo esatto di questo valore, quindi, nel caso in cui crediate che la crescita dell'Overhead sia dovuta alla Mod. in questione, vi sbagliate, è la Xtreme che vi riporta i dati con più precisione.

Il Dev., come sempre, suggerisce un'installazione pulita.

Concordo, questi valori non si vedono neanche con il binocolo con le varie Telecom, Tiscali, Tele2, Etc.Etc.Dal lato Fastweb sono poco informato, ma comporterebbe l'utilizzazione di Adunanza.

Su sourceforge ci sono diversi files, quale devo scaricare?
Diepnde da ciò di cui tu hai bisogno:

    * Un'interfaccia grafica : MediaInfo GUI
    * Un programma a riga di comando : MediaInfo Cmd
    * Un DLL necessario ad altri programmi : MediaInfo DLL


Dopo di ciò scegli il sistema operativo:

    * Windows : da Windows 95 a Windows XP
    * Linux : distribuzioni Linux


e la tua piattaforma:

    * 686 : Intel Pentium, AMD Athlon
    * AMD64 : Processori di tipo Intel EMT64, AMD Athlon64

Avresti trovato la risposta nel primo Post del Thread segnalato da Lucarella. Se ti serve aggiornare la MediaInfo per eMule, necessiti di una DLL. La puoi trovare al seguente Link:

Procedura:
Estrai i File contenuti nell'archivio, avvii il File.Bat, MediaInfo_InfoTip_Register, e copi il File MediaInfo.Dll nell'apposita cartella relativa ad eMule.
